AUDIO-REACTIVE
SYSTEMS
PROJECT SERIES 03
01 Audio-Reactive Elements
For this project my focus was to create two distinct vibrating elements that would react to the pulses of different sounds emitted from the Elektron Digitakt II.
The element on the right is an elongated wireframe with vibrating trapezoidal features continually affected by turbulence. The element on the left is a similar arrangement with a storm cloud overlay attached, creating the illusion of a blackhole.
Both elements are impacted procedurally by the sounds and MIDI emitted from an Elektron Digitakt II sampler, thus creating the feeling of an audio-reactive system in the vacuum of space.
TOOLS: TOUCHDESIGNER - ELEKTRON DIGITAKT II02 Audio-Reactive Lines
Here you can see a cluster of scribbled lines affected in vibration and placement by the sounds emitted from the Elektron Digitakt II sampler.
TOOLS: TOUCHDESIGNER - ELEKTRON DIGITAKT IIBass kick changes the placement and seed of the scribbled element. Synth causes it to vibrate. Adjusting the cutoff parameter affects the frequency of the physical vibration.
